Dr. Umesan Valappil is an experienced Cardiologist from Kannur in Kerala. He has rich experience in performing Coronary and Non Coronary Interventions independently in addition to having already performed 2500 Angioplasty procedures. He also performs and reports Adult and Paediatric Echocardiography.

His academic career consists of an MBBS degree from Medical College from Calicut, MD (General Medicine) from Institute of Medical Sciences- Banaras Hindu University, and DM in Cardiology from Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (Lucknow). He also has DNB (General Medicine) from National Board of Examinations (New Delhi). Dr. Valappil has also received advanced training in Coronary Intervention under Dr. Adam Cannon at Townsville Hospital & Mater Hospital (Australia) and special training in pacemaker implantation and Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator Implantation at Prince Charles Hospital, Brisbane.

Dr. Valappil's prior association includes working at Madras Medical Mission and MIMS, Kozhikode. He also spent some time in Australia working with Townsville Hospital and Prince Charles Hospital apart from spending some time in Abu Dhabi when he worked as Interventional Cardiologist and Head of the Department of Cardiology of NMC Specialty Hospital.

Dr. Valappil has published numerous original studies and case reports in several indexed journals related to Cardiology.
